Vintage Louis Tannen Card Leap
Effect:  The performer removes 20 cards from the deck.  They are dealt out rows of 10 cards each.  One of the rows is picked up and given to the spectator to place into their pocket.  The performer picks up the other packet, spreads them out and has a card mentally selected.  The performer makes a magical gesture and explains that the selected card has leaped from the cards in his hand to the cards in the specttors pocket.  To prove this, he slowly counts his packet cards.  He now has only 9 cards in his hand and the selected card is not among them.  It has vanished!  The spectator now removes the cards from his pocket and counts them...he now has 11 cards, including the selected card.  IMPOSSIBLE!
This routine comes from the estate of a home magician.   The instructions include handwritten notes from him.
