Works great for plucking duck, cornish cross, quail,   goose, turkey, small game birds, &/or scaling large fresh water or salt water fish.     Works great for removing pin feathers and down feathers off water fowl plus exfoliating and removing old dead skin.
    Drive axle is made with 304 stainless steel as well as all other components are made with food grade materials.
    A great tool for plucking hard to pluck ducks and geese.

    We recommend using a hand held portable rechargeable battery powered drill.) Our magic finger fowl plucker is designed to be used in a light weight battery powered portable hand held drill for your convenience and simplicity in aiding your fowl plucking endeavors. Our product is designed  to be a one person operation and does not require being clamped or attached to a table and being ran at high speeds, Nor does our product require 2 people to operate like the products of our competitors.

    Instructions:
    Step 1;
    preparation
    Secure a work table or plucking station with access to  running water.
    Step 2;
    Using a light weight battery powerd drill,
    Securely attach your magic finger fowl plucker drill attachment into your drill and place on work table, we recommend having 2 or more charged back up batteries for your drill.
    Step 3;
    Heat water to a optimum consistency temperature 145°f, (note scalding water temperature is crucial in preventing skin tearing while plucking. Prolonged submersion in a scalding pot and over exposure to thermal energy may cook the skin causing it to lose its elasticity therefore tearing the skin when coming into contact with the plucker fingers of this device.) We recommend scalding temperature  of 145° and a submersion time 35 seconds for chickens and 45 seconds for ducks. Due to the water resistant oils on  water fowl and thier thick down feathers. Water fowl requires pre-wetting of tge feathers and may require longer scalding time or re-scalding.
    Step 4;  Cutting both juglars without decapitation is the most preferred method to have a holding place while plucking. After slaughter and bleeding, rinse off the fowl with water hose to clean off poop, debree, and blood. shake a few time to remove excess water from feathers then submerge into scalding water pot and using a timer set on preferred scalding time for accuracy.
    remove fowl and move to plucking station. rinse with water sprayer for ½ second to cool the bird for handling. (Note, age and species of fowl can determine the difficulty level of plucking with our product  and  scalding time may vary. And for ducks we recommend rinsing off and wetting its feathers thoroughly to allow scalding water to penertrate down feathers to reach the skin more easily.
    Step 5:
    Although our plucking device can remove most wing and tail feathers. They can be more difficult for our plucker to remove and we recommend pulling out large wing and tail feathers by hand to make your task much easier and faster.
    Step 6, plucking:
    Set drill in the direction of rotation that goes down hill away from your holding point.  holding the head or neck as you start from the neck and  moving the plucker down and around the body while artnating speed and angle of attack of the plucker fingers.
    Our plucker will remove most feathers, but some hard to get feathers may require more speed, pressure and a variety of angle of attack to perform the task.
    some feathers may require going against the grain to be plucked and as you get accustomed to operating the plucker, you will learn the tricks and techniques to become more efficient at plucking with our drill attachment magic finger plucker.
    Note: Although our plucker works extremely well for plucking chickens and ducks, age and species of poultry can determine how well our product works at any given time. As example we do not recommend plucking molting chickens and ducks that is developing new feathers and has a lot of new immature feathers in the developing stage. When scheduling to process, we strongly recommend timing your processing schedules pryor to molting or after the molt is complete and all new feathers has matured. As from experience in testing our product we found that young molting incoming new feathers has a tendency to break prematurely when coming into contact with the plucker fingers.
    Processing poultry and waterfowl during molting can be extremely difficult.
    Also some feathers may be missed by our plucker in areas that is hard to reach with the plucking fingers or was to slippery for the plucker fingers to grip and may require plucking by hand.
