    Description

    This Is A Wonderful Early Georgian Wax Portrait.  I Would Date This Piece To The Early 19th Century.  It Was Found At An Estate In Connecticut.  It Measures 5 x 7 Inches.  The Writing On The Back Looks To Me As Saying Josiah Wedgewood.  He Was An English Potter.  He Was Born In 1730 And Died In 1795.  Overall The Wax Portrait Is In Good Shape. No Missing Areas
    That
    I Can See.  There Are Some Area Where The Ink Has Bled Into The Wax On His Face.  The Back Of His
    Coat Has Some Fading.  The Little Speck On His Forehead Is Just Dust On The Glass On The Outside.  Otherwise The Colors Look Sharp.  Great Piece To Hang Anywhere In Your Home!
