    Description

Souvenir novelty wood cane from the Century of Progress Chicago World's Fair. Has a keg as the handle with a cup mounted below. Has 1933 Century of Progress label. There's a cord tied below the key. The ends of the cord are broken off - I think there used to be tassels there. The cane stick is painted run with a spiral stripe. The colors are faded. There are marks and scratches on the barrel. Total length is 34 inches. The barrel is about 2.5 inches long. The Century of Progress fair ran from May 27, 1933 to October 31, 1934. Prohibition ended in December of 1933, so this item likely relates to what was going on with alcohol prohibition at the time. Please see photos.
