Antique political, satirical paper print from somewhere between the 1770's-1790's portraying George Onslow, a British Army officer and member of Parliament. Onslow became deeply unpopular in the 1770's and was lampooned in the headlines for his passion for cock fighting--seen here--among other things. This piece has been cut out of a larger periodical and pasted onto a larger piece of paper, which has in turn, been lightly mounted to a heavier piece of cardstock. The original print is in delicate condition and has a small tear at the bottom left corner. Because the cartoon was pasted on, the backside of the article is cannot be read.
